Nana's Birthday

Last weekend was my mom's birthday. On her actual birthday, my dad, the man in the doghouse, went golfing and had dinner with a large group of men. Mom came to our house and we made her supper and had a special cake.

On Sunday, the 6 of us went to Dad's golf club for their "Junior Open House". It was great: they had 3 stations set up for kids, with the pros and volunteers there to help the kids have fun. They also had a BBQ and, more importantly in Lucy's mind, free chips!

The kids had fun - it was a gorgeous day! Lucy had a much shorter attention span for the whole affair than Josh. Although both kids are naturally athletic, Josh has more interest in golf, and I could hear a number of volunteers comment on how well he could putt. (Sorry, mom-brag -moment, though I don't really care what sports my kids choose, as long as they're active!)
Finally, after some driving, chipping and putting, we "officially" celebrated Nana's birthday: we went out for Sushi.
Happy Birthday Mom/Nana!
