More Whistler pics

Sunday we spent some time wandering around Whistler village and came upon an Olympic display booth. Here's the Caldwell Bobsleigh team - not ready to compete in 2010, but watch for us in 2014! We then drove up to the Olympic Sliding centre on Blackcomb Mountain. It was really interesting to see where bobsled, luge and the completely psycho skeleton events will take place.
While there, a team was preparing for their practice. They were walking the track to get a feel for it - wish we had time to stay and watch a bit. On a side note, the famous Jamaican Bobsled team arrives in Pemberton, B.C. today to prepare for the Whistler World Cup and the Olympics. http://www.theprovince.com/Jamaican+bobsled+team+slides+into/1059376/story.html

This last pic is looking over the Howe Sound heading south on the Sea to Sky highway, just before Porteau Cove. Isn't it beautiful? I love mountains meeting oceans!
