Last week Joshua came home every day with stories of how fun it was to work with a real musician. Holly Arntzen was the musician-in-residence at their school for the week, and every day, twice a day, the children rehearsed her songs with her and a accompianist (Kevin). The whole school had spent 6 weeks learning her songs, which are all about ecology. The students also wrote and talked about the environment.
The culminating night was a concert for the whole school. I was delighted with the performance!
Joshua says "Holly's nice. My favourite song is the composting song."

Joshua's principal had worked with her twice before, and I can see why she was so eager to recommend her this year.
