Parksville - August 18th

Friday, the kids and I took a small ferry from Vesuvius Bay to Crofton, on Vancouver Island and drove up to Parksville. We met much of my dad's family there, and Mark took a ferry from Vancouver and met us that night. Our main purpose was to celebrate my youngest cousin, Shea's wedding to Shandelle.

The kids had a lot of fun at the wedding, running around with cousins and tearing up the dance floorl

Earlier that day we went with my sister's family and Nana & Papa & Uncle George to Coombs , which is famous for goats on the roof of the country market. There was also a fabulous Sand Sculpture display at Parksville's community beach. This one, called "Digger" is my favourite!
Side note: Noah rode in our van most of the weekend, and all we heard him say was "Pass him, Uncle Mark, pass him!" I'll be a little concerned about him speeding when he gets his license in 10 years!
