Family Day

Today, after church, we went downtown to the Vancouver Art Gallery for "Super Sunday". This is a monthly event for families, where there are art stations throughout the gallery for kids to do their own artwork. Joshua and Lucy made pictures of animals at the art gallery entrance, a collage of windows and watercolour picturea of marine still life. It was busy, but lots of fun!

On our way in, we stopped at the Olympic Countdown Clock to see how many days, hours, minutes and seconds remain until the 2010 Winter Olympics open here in Vancouver. The bottom pictures of my adorable family were taken beside the Christ Church Cathedral walking back to the car (at Daddy's office building).

Daddy and Joshua had a father-son bonding experience on the way home when we discovered we had a flat tire that needed changing. Mark says they broke a record of six and a half minutes flat. (That doesn't include the 14 minutes it took to pull the jack and spare out of the trunk!) At least it wasn't raining! And we were only a little late (okay, really fashionably late) for dinner at Nana and Papa's with Auntie Lucy and Papa Gordon visiting from SaltSpring Island, and cousins Denien and Lisa. It was a great day!
